NekonyancerMind MGMT is a *hidden movement* game. One player will play as *the Recruiter.* Their goal is to contact 12 recruits or evade capture until time runs out.
All the other players will control four *Rogue Agents,* who are trying to track down and capture the Recruiter!
In this tutorial, we will play as the Rogue Agents. Since we're using a 2-player replay, we will control all four Agents.2maintitlebar_content000
NekonyancerAlso, I'll be teaching you the *Full Game* in this tutorial, but *Training Mission* is toggled on by default.
If you plan to start with a Training Mission, you can ignore everything I say about Immortals, Mayhem, and Allies.3maintitlebar_content000
NekonyancerBefore we start going through the rules, note the numbers along the left edge of the board and the letters across the bottom. They give us an easy way to refer to specific squares. For example, this square is [red]*D4.*[/red]4cell_3_3000cell_3_3 1
NekonyancerBefore we start the game, we have to go through a few setup steps.
*Step 1:* Add *Mayhem tokens* to the board. Mayhem tokens are *walls* that most characters cannot move through. The Recruiter will place one first.5maintitlebar_content000
NekonyancerOkay, they placed the first Mayhem token between [blue]*B4*[/blue] and [blue]*C4.*[/blue] Now it's our turn.
We can place a token anywhere [red]*EXCEPT:*[/red]
• On an edge of the board.

If you scroll down a little, you'll find them in the *Potential Recruiters* box.

NekonyancerOkay, they picked an identity.
*Step 3:* The Recruiter must choose a secret starting position.
*Step 4:* The Recruiter will draw three *Feature cards,* each specifying 1 of 16 different Feature types. BGA will circle all the corresponding Features on the board, but only for the Recruiter! Whenever the Recruiter visits one of the circled Features, they'll contact a *Recruit.*

Nekonyancer*Step 5:* The Recruiter will move orthogonally (up/down/left/right) four times, writing ascending numbers on each square they move through and crossing off circled Features. They are not allowed to move onto squares they've already been on.

NekonyancerHere, the Recruiter chose to start in *F5,* so BGA wrote a [blue]*"1"*[/blue] there. Then they drew three Feature cards, specifying three types of Features. BGA circled all those Features on the board for them.

*Step 6:* The Recruiter must place four *Immortals* on four different spaces. They cannot be placed on the edges of the board. The Rogue Agents will be able to see them.
