SpenserCodeIn the game, each player drafts dragons into their army and has them battle their opponent's army by placing them in a line. The goal is to destroy 7 of your opponent's dragons before they destroy 7 of yours. 2archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment

SpenserCodeThere are 35 unique dragons in five suits available to draft. [tip] You can hover over a dragon to see which of the five suits it belongs to and its ability. 3archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment

SpenserCodeIn the draft phase players each player looks at the cards before them, and drafts 1 card into their hand. The players trade undrafted cards, and each then drafts 2 cards. The players trade undrafted cards again, and each draft 3 cards. At this point, each player has a 6 card hand.9available_cards

SpenserCodeThe game doesn't allow for much interactivity in the tutorial and sometimes messages might pop up. Don't worry about that, as long as you keep clicking continue you'll get to the end. We will begin by drafting the highlighted card. Click on it and then click on continue.10your_cards_title

SpenserCodeThe last four drafted cards must be played first and are referred to as your starting line. Click on the dragons in numerical order and click continue.1starting_line

SpenserCodeThe four cards have been placed in the line in the order specified. We also placed our activation tokens.1cards_on_table

SpenserCodeActivation tokens can either be a star or blank. A star token indicates the dragon should be activated, while a blank token indicates that it should remain inactive. The battle phase will now begin. Observe what happens.2card_container_3

SpenserCodeI realize the battle phase probably happened too fast for you to make any meaningful observations. The game unfortunately doesn't allow for you to pause during to explain. I took a few snapshots that I'm going to explain in hopes of making things more clear.1cards_on_table

SpenserCodeDuring the battle phase all dragons, except spirit dragons, that have been activated deal damage according to their ability. All dragons of the same type have the same ability.2cards_on_table

SpenserCode [img]https://snipboard.io/Mm1xlB.jpg[/img] In the snapshot above the highlighted fire dragon is about to deal damage. The amount of damage each dragon deals is equal to the number in the eight side star symbol.325

SpenserCodeSpirit dragons change the statistics of neighboring dragons instead of dealing damage. I took some snapshots from a different battle phase to explain. SpenserCodeThis particular spirit dragon only changes two of the three statistics. Some others change only one or all three. The third statistic is ability and is represented by the arrow symbol.7cards_on_table

SpenserCode[img]https://snipboard.io/gp2vkQ.jpg[/img] The air dragon highlighted in yellow has a range of 2 and if activated would have dealt damage to the fire dragon in front of the spirit dragon. If its range were increased to 3 by a spirit dragon it would have dealt damage to the other air dragon instead. You have to be careful not to destroy your own dragons by unintentionally dealing damage to them.8cards_on_table

SpenserCodeBoth players have added a new dragon to their line. Play will continue until someone wins. Someone wins when they have destroyed seven of their opponents dragons and their opponent is unable to place any new dragons into their line. I am going to end the tutorial here.
