You have total 6 large cubes and 3 small cubes at the start. - If you have the most cubes on them, you get the possible rewards shown at the bottom of the boss' card. For example, the reward for New York is either 0, 1, 2 or 3 gold.4citysurface_1

sabertoothmyThe actual reward of the boss is in the card tucked underneath them. Careful! Bidding on them doesn't guarantee a positive outcome. For example: a) Prison on Boston will lock one of your large cubes so that you can't use them for the next two rounds. b) Hospital on Boston will lock one of your large cubes for one round. c) Gun on Detroit will kill one of your large cubes permanently.5cardontable_hidden2

sabertoothmyCards in your hand help you deduce the actual reward of the boss through elimination. What you are holding can't be the card tucked underneath them. In this example, you know that New York will provide 1 gold, since you hold the 0, 2 and 3 gold New York cards in your hand (the black cards).6myhand_wrap

sabertoothmySince bidding is optional, let's skip bidding for now and proceed to play a card. SELECT the "2 gold" black card now and pass the turn.7myhand_item_4

sabertoothmyWhen you have two cards remaining in each round, one police card is revealed (either a gold or silver badge). If the third badge of the same color is revealed (at the 3rd, 4th or 5th round), the game ends! 1policewrap

sabertoothmyPlay continues and you haven't made a bid, and you now hold only one card (last chance to bid)! Since you get back all large cubes at the start of each round, use all 6 large cubes now (SELECT them) and then SELECT Detroit in this example. - Note that opponent has placed a cube on Detroit. sabertoothmyOpponent places his last 4 gold card at Detroit, and the first round has ended! Opponent gets 1 gold for New York, and we get 1 gold for Detroit. For Chicago, we add up the last card played on each of the boss to the left of Chicago, then divide by 2, rounded down. Here, there is only one boss to the left of Chicago, and last card played on New York is 3 gold. Opponent got 1 gold (3/2 = 1.5).1cities
