ルールの概要
Crime Zoom is a series of investigation games for 1 and more players and for plays of about 1 hour.
In Crime Zoom, you will conduct your investigation freely. Discuss between players to choose the tracks to follow. And as soon as you think you have solved the case, go to the questionnaire. Who is guilty? What is the motive? What is the murder weapon? And some subsidiary questions, of course. The solution will answer each of the questions. The epilogue will come to tell all this in a story or a testimony history to understand the plot that has been played.
Crime Zoom: A Dirty Objective is a demo case of the Crime Zoom family (in only 38 cards). It brings you in Brooklyn in 1980.
—description from the publisher
A real investigation in a (deck of cards)! Adapted for BGA the cards are areas you can click on, Instead of turning over the card as mentioned below, you click and are given the information from the back of the card. "His Last Card" will take you to 1980s Brooklyn.
You receive an anonymous report of shots from the apartment of a certain Frank Bucco. You reach a run-down tenement house inhabited by poor families and drug addicts. Breaking down the apartment door, you discover the body of a man lying on the couch. Where are you going to start your investigation?
In Crime Zoom, you are detectives trying to unravel a mysterious murder case. The crime scene is made up of cards that form one large picture. To investigate a trace, simply turn the card over (for BGA you will click it) and follow any leads provided on the right side of the screen. In the course of the investigation, you will visit various places, question suspects, gather evidence, and try to come to conclusions.
After the investigation, you fill in a report by answering the questions: Who is the perpetrator? What is the evidence? What was the motive?
Finally, you can check the epilogue, which will allow you to explore the entire rich story.
GOAL:
This is a cooperative game, while BGA does have a timer running, there are no "turns".
The player(s) decide amongst themselves what actions to take, which cards to turn over, and what leads to follow.
They seek to solve the investigation together. When done investigating, you will issue an investigative report.
The highest scores come from a correct investigative report with the fewest number of cards used.
- Investigative report
As in a real investigation, you will have to determine the elements of the crime: perpetrator, motive, weapon of the crime
Be careful, assumptions are not always enough. You will need to assign a "card" providing this information to the report as proof to support your investigation. This is done by the use of the tab labeled "Questionnaire" on the top far right of the scene.
NOTE: do not click on the questionnaire tab until you feel you have all the information necessary to solve the case. Points are awarded based on both solving the case AND how many cards you used. While it may seem ideal to only flip over a few cards to get a higher score, you may not have what you need to complete the questionnaire and support your investigation.
If you want to go straight to the point, submit your report as soon as you think you have identified the main elements. (BGA version does not seem to have this option, you must complete the questionnaire.) Don't reveal all cards to get a bonus. If you are rather curious and seek to understand the full story, continue your investigation. You will have so more material to answer the subsidiary questions. Epilogue After you complete your report, check your answers. The solution shows you the whole path leading to the investigation resolution. Finally, let yourself be told the story by the testimony of a neighbor, the discussion of the protagonists before the facts or even the police report a few months later.
