Using all six dice should pass control to the other player. If a double turn was intentional, then this should be an optional variant.

Not sure of the move number, but it was the 3rd and 2nd to last turns of the game.

Using all 6 dice continues the turn by throwing all 6 dice again in almost all (if not all) sources I can find. Not a bug

"this should be an optional variant" I take this back. Having played this way a few times, it creates a fantastic dynamic of generating very large scores that could evaporate with the single roll of the dice, especially when combined with piggybacking.

This is definitely not a bug. If you score all dice you get to trow them again. It's a big part of the push your luck, when you have score like 4 or 5 dices and have to consider banking, losing or possibility of al lot more score.
