when you have the build action selected the implementation cycles through the possible buildings on every spot quite fast repeatedly. I would prefer if it was an option to remove that and replace with either just one of the buidlings or nothing at all.

Also when you are about to select what to build/how to crusade the frames around the options are flashing, I would prefer an option to just have a solid frame.

Can I confirm - this is only when you're hovering over the possible action during the "choose action" step, isn't it?

Once you've selected Build, there should no longer be any animation. Instead you should be seeing a radial menu, and as you hover over each menu item then it shows purely that building, but shouldn't show any if you are sitting on the Build action and aren't hovering anywhere.

Is that not the experience you're having?

Thanks for the clarification of "flashing" - I understand what you're referring to now.

yes you are correct, the buildingcycle is only when hovering and not during the actual action

So, does that make a difference in terms of "they are a bit distracting for some players when you are trying to think of what building you want to build or what option to choose"?

The animation is a way of showing all options at a quick glance whilst deciding which option to take (so that players have all of the information they need to decide if a Build option might be a good choice), but you can end it by choosing the Build action (which you could always cancel out of if you change your mind)?

As I find it quite distracting it pushes me to just click the action so the animations stops and then I can think about what to do or undo the turn if the build action doesn´t work out. It makes quite a big difference that it is only when hovering as it would almost be unplayable for me if the animations were active during the action aswell.

Cool - thanks for the feedback! I'll have a ponder and kick it around.

As a heads up, if anyone ever has any suggestions for alternate ways of communicating (say) "here are the 5 building options you could build" with a glance visually, I'd be more than happy to hear. The switching between buildings is a "best/worse" way I've been able to come up with thus far, but I'm aware that it's the only part of what I call the "forecasting" display that does that, so I'd be more than happy for countersuggestions..
