As best as I can figure, the problem is a stale CSS cache on your web browser after. You need to do a force-refresh (Ctrl+F5, not just F5 by itself) to pick up the new CSS and see the new can't-place-here symbols.
Running through the replay myself, everything else looks fine. This happened to be the first point in the game where those can't-place-here symbols were displayed for you.
