I can't reproduce this. Both tables open fine. Have you tried flushing your browser cache? (Not sure how that works in Opera; it's Shift + F5 in Firefox and Chrome.)

BTW when there's a syntax error in the Javascript, it produces exactly the symptoms you describe in the studio. So there's also a chance that the current JS doesn't play nice with Opera. You can test this assumption by
(1) trying to open any other (currently active) Tarokk table in Opera
(2) trying to open your tables using another browser

If (1) doesn't work but (2) does, that's what it must be.

Thanks for your help.
(0) flushing my browser cache did not help
(1) trying to open other Tarokk tables did not work in Opera
(2) the above mentioned table did open up in Chrome.

OK. Sounds like it's a browser issue then. Updating Opera might help: v57 is more than two years old, I understand it's at v72 now.

(The reason it used to work is that the previously released version - which was live until early yesterday - was based on an earlier state of the BGA framework, including a JS minifier that only supported a rather dated version of JS.)

Doesn't work on older Firefox either.
It is a browser issue. One you could easily fix by not using code that is so recent.

"SyntaxError: expected expression, got '?'[Learn More] hungariantarokk.js:1:742"
- The Nullish coalescing operator (??) is a new ES2020 feature. According to Mozilla, "this feature has not yet reached cross-browser stability". If you want all users to be able to run your code, don't use it.

"ReferenceError: bgagame is not defined[Learn More] hungariantarokk:2300:13"
- bgagame is probably being set in way which also didn't work in older browsers. Most common error recently has been using "event" instead of "evt". (e.g. boardgamearena.com/bug?id=18828 )

The first of those is in the game code, the 2nd comes from the BGA framework.
I wonder if it's worth changing the first one - most browsers automatically update themselves nowadays.

You wonder if it's worth it? Well it depends whether you want people to be able to play the game or not.
(Allowing software to auto-update can break all manner of things. I always have it turned off. And lots of phones and tablets have built-in browsers that are not Chrome and do not have new versions every few weeks like it does.)

As for the second error being from the BGA framework, yes, that's true, but it's because your code has bombed while trying to define bgagame.

I have replaced the ?? operator with a homegrown version of the same thing. This should improve compatibility with old browsers, although I can't say how old because I have no control (or indeed visibility) on the framework code.
