As the game is (sligthly) asymetric, color preference should not be taken into account for this game.

There have been some issues with this. The color preference is disabled for this game, just like the player order, but it still displays in the log. I believe that is just a display issue at BGA side.
There are 4 possible distinct start configurations, and I don't see how BGA would allow to cycle through those sequentially.

I just checked it again, and turns out you were right, I had updated the game settings, but turns out it had not gotten through to production. It should be fixed now.

It seems that color preference is still in place and influences the starting confirguration. For instance, my preferred color is orange and I always start with the yellow color and the velocities 31213, never the other one.
