I concur, I also mentioned this in another issue (boardgamearena.com/bug?id=19953)
Also, I have a very hard time weeing where the player tokens are (I'm often Yellow, which is hard to see on the tiles). Maybe it would be great to either :
* highlight islands where player token is already put ?
* draw a fat line around player tokens ?

For fun, I added some css to try, it helps a lot :
