the alligator says to dismiss a card "one card adjacent to the right". Is it intended that you have no choice and must dismiss the card exactly to the right? I thought you look at the card to the right and can dismiss any card adjacent to that one• ルールの間違いはゲームのリプレイで確認できますか?そうであれば、行動番号は何番ですか?

It specifically says adjacent to the right on the card. You only get to pick the card to dismiss if the stack adjacent to the right contains more than 1 card.
All effects on cards are mandatory, unless it specifically states it's optional.
