I can't complete any grey route of five or six cards, though I have six of blue and orange. Red message says I don't have enough cards. This is for both tunnel and non-tunnel routes of five or six.

When you have enough cards of a color, they should work for a grey route.

The message was consistent across multiple turns. It simply would not let me complete any five or six car grey route with my six card set.

No, I just re-watched the game just to be sure. My number of trains (tokens) never went below 10 for the whole game. I think I was having problems placing any of the grey routes, even shorter ones. It kept telling me I didn't have enough cards. Are you supposed to click on the card color you want to use first? I think I tried that, but can't remember for sure. If that's the case, it should not be telling me that I do not have enough cards.
