2025年Sep4日 10:22 • It's not only concave rooms - a small but real consideration that is easy to miss if the foyer. It's doorways are slightly larger than normal rooms (or corridors), i.e. their corners don't quite match on the (imaginary) grid. This also means the slanted corners - the parts with no doorways - are slightly shorter and further away from the center of the piece.
Players are currently able to put large 600 rooms so that the 45° part is against the foyer. This should not be possible since the pieces actually overlap (I've tested this on the real tabletop game). The foyer is larger probably for this exact reason (or, corners "cut" for esthetic reasons), but should be considered a 400 size room for all practical purposes (no room can fit on the cutaway part of the corner, compared to a square room of similar size).
For reference, table 718564545 has such a move, Vestibule is inserted in a position not allowed by the rules at move 57.

2025年Sep4日 10:50 • Another correction, since I seem to be hallucinating ;-). I though somehow size 400 is 3x3 while it is actually 4x4. So disregard that part of the comments above. The foyer can only be compared to a regular 90° corner - and in that regard, only piece which could fit is the large round room. No other 45° cutoffs (of size 600 rooms) or small round rooms (size 150).

2025年Sep4日 11:05 • For sake of completing the discussion about the foyer (and getting it right once if any fixes are made), a tower (325) piece corner is also probably also meant to fit at the foyer corner. I don't have the real expansion pieces so I can not check, but the curve has probably not started, and if there is any, it is so minuscule that it is probably next to noticeable. The intention in that case is their corners could occupy the same grid square. If someone has the expansion or better knowledge, please comment ;-).
(I haven't checked if the digital version here allows that placement, as I haven't had a chance. But please don't make a check "allow everything but small round and 600 rooms", as that would be incorrect).

For the other cases, I haven't seen them in-game since as such situations are rare, but possible. It is possible the game already handles them correctly, but I just decided to mention them since there already seem to be some oversights in the code that I would make sense to check these cases when making the fix. It is also possible to make a fix in-code and introduce new ones.
It's just FYI; in case I encounter these situations I will surely test and add a screenshot.

2025年Sep6日 13:41 • I've added an image highlighting the differences of the Foyer geometry which is also the reason 600 corners don't fit against Foyer. It is curious why they made the foyer this way. Probably to make it "slightly easier" than a 3x3 square to work with but not too much.
