I am unable to reproduce this bug, and it seems like your game has been able to continue beyond this point. There were a few notifications in the game logs of this sort of error, and also some problems with the notifications service (which is independent of the code that we the developers have control over).
I'm going to provisionally close this out; hopefully this is a fleeting problem which might be related to server load.
