I would suggest you do like Ark Nova (and actually almost all other games where there is a player's board), where my own board is presented but I can switch to any other player's one.

You can click on the padlock icon that will disable switching active player's boards.

It may be nice to have an option as to whether to switch between players or not. Or for us to be able to see other players' boards by our choice just as in Ark Nova and many other games.

As tabackej already stated, if you toggle the lock (in your case just close it), the game will stop scrolling around and switching player boards. Did you try this out?

When I play solo against Alfred or in turn based games, I have the lock always open.

In real time games or when watching a game, I prefer to close it.

I also agree that the default state should not change. Why not have the default be your player and the toggle go to the opposing players? It is already easy enough to know whose turn it it, so the current arrangement doesn't seem necessary. So, if it is creating any confusion, it seems worthwhile to change it.

We're still in Alpha and thus the games statistics may change, but currently half of the games are just solo against Alfred, and I also believe that even with the full release a huge percentage of games will be turn based. In both these cases, auto scrolling is probably the better setting, plus new players see that this is actually possbile. If they don't like it, they can easily switch it off.
