FYI, I just found that while I'm having this problem consistently (all games, all moves) on my work laptop, I'm not having this problem on my personal laptop. I just switched back and forth between the two laptops, making some moves on one and some on the other, on different games, and it's consistent: Every move I make on the work laptop gets stuck with "Move recorded, waiting for update...", and every move I make on the personal laptop does not get stuck.

Both are Macs. Work laptop is an older Intel based Mac, personal laptop is a bit newer and M1, but I don't know if that makes any difference here. Both are running the latest version of Google Chrome, but the latest version is slightly different for Intel vs. M1 Macs:

120.0.6099.199 (Official Build) (x86_64)
121.0.6167.47 (Official Build) beta (arm64)

I don't know what other differences may be significant here.

I had this problem last night in Ark Nova, TTR: Europe, and Wingspan in Edge latest build, Windows 10 Pro. Rebooting and using another browser (Firefox latest) didn't help. This morning, it was working fine again. However, at 16:30 EDT I came back to my computer and the problem was back. Still a problem four hours later.

I have had the same problem on phone, app and desktop. However, if I change my phone to use mobile data instead of wifi it works.

Maybe it accesses different servers for different IP addresses, and there is a server issue somewhere? Or some other network issue?

Oh, regarding my previous comment about it behaving differently on the two macbooks: My work macbook, where this problem IS happening, is also on wifi, but my personal macbook is directly connected to the router with an ethernet cord. So maybe using wifi is related to this?

This is happening in all of my turn-based games (over 15 of them). It's happening both on my windows desktop and mobile. Every time I take a turn, it gives the Move Recorded, waiting for update message. I cannot get the game to move forward unless I refresh the page. Playing Azul in particular is excruciating because I have to refresh the page between choosing my tile(s), selecting the row, and then confirming my choice.

I am having this same issue in all my turn based game today. Yesterday I had the issue with every move during the morning and early afternoon (GMT+8), but BGA was back to working normally for me when I took my turns in the evening. But as of this morning it's back to having the waiting for update issue every move again

I was getting this today, but I was on mobile on the BGA app (which is really just a web browser anyway), just to add my voice to things. This evening I am now on my desktop PC and the issue seems to be resolved (but not sure if the change in hardware/network is the difference - should have thought to check before playing through all my turns this evening).

I'm having this issue right now. It's been a horrible hour and I see that people struggle for days.. It's completely the same problem, I cannot get the game to move forward unless I refresh the page. I've tried in different browsers. I've upvoted this bug and hopefully this gets fixed because I have more than 30 games going on right now..

Happening for me as well. I am able to F5 to continue the play, but it is frustrating to do it after every move. I am on Firefox121 on Windows 10 desktop, no adblockers currently enabled on the website.

Same issue on multiple devices (PC, Chromebook, iPhone) However, if I use cell on my phone, the problem goes away. Have tried 2 different wifi connections too (home and work place).

Occured for me the first time tonight - really frustrating to have to F5 ever single time to see wha was changing on a game that needed a lot of interaction.
Tried multiple browsers and even devices - same on all.

same in safari, chrome . logging out/logging in makes no difference.

try playing in mobile browser. (android chrome). same problem

I'm having this issue in Firefox and Edge on my Win10 PC, and Safari on my iPhone 11. As suggested above, turning off wifi on the phone seemed to solve the issue for the moment.

Most games, I can reload after each step and it works. Luxor (Table 459700215) wouldn't even let me do that. It would say to pick a card and an adventurer, give the "move recorded" freeze, but when I reloaded, it was back to pick a card and an adventurer. It wouldn't let me pick a destination square. (Switching to data let me take my turn.)

For what it's worth, chat is also not updating until I reload the page as well. I type something and it does not appear in chat until I reload.

I am getting this error now too. First time I have seen it. It is happening on all async games.

Happens on chrome and IE on desktop and chrome on my ipad.

Requires F5 to see updated screen.

Well, it just started happening again for me this afternoon. Earlier this morning I was not having this problem, and hadn't seen it happen to me since January 9th when I last commented. I'm still on the same computer and browser version as I was using this morning, no changes that I know of, so whatever issue is causing this on their back end may be independent of how you're accessing the site.

This is happening for me in safari on iPad (connected to WiFi). It’s making games unplayable in real time as I would need to continually refresh to avoid timing out if someone has played their turn without it updating.

tldr; i think its comcast/xfinity.

i dont have automatic updates on, so i know my OS/router were same as yesterday. so i tried 3 different browsers in my house, two different OSX versions. rebooted router, updated firmware on router, all to no avail.

then i connected laptop to my cell phone's hotspot and disconnected cell from wifi. same laptop as before, but everything worked fine (but slower over cell!). just for confirmation, i reconnected laptop to home wifi and websockets were broken again.

so, came to the conclusion: websockets broken through comcast/xfinity. i filed an issue with them.

It it is happening for me too, on my machines, but only when I'm on my home network (wired or WiFi), not on mobile data.

My home ISP is Vodafone, my mobile is on Three.

Had this error consistently throughout my game. Internet connection was good. Tried refreshing my page multiple times and even using a different computer. Error kept resurfacing. This is a known issue which prevented me from taking my turns in a timely manner.
