On the second turn, we had a roll of 1, 3, and 8. I placed the 1 and 3, and locked it in, then decided to try some other locations instead and restarted my turn. However, the 1 and 3 actually stayed on the board, and I was able to place second copies of each. That didn't show up for my opponent until after the next turn, but obviously I was two boxes ahead of them because of this unfair duplication.

Reloading did not clear this bug, because it was definitely sent to the database. I have played this game several times (and even used the restart once or twice before) and never had issues like this previously.

I just watched the replay and you didn't use 1 and 3 two times. You already had 1 and 3 placed on the board from the previous turn. This is not a bug.

No, my opponent only got to place them once (and had they had access to them again, they would have played them again.) Look at the play log at the point where I switch dice out. It shows that we both only placed 1 and 3 once, but I have two of each on my board. This is *definitely* a bug. Please do not close it as notabug.

Moreover, if you step to the next turn in the playthrough, you'll see that it's logged as me playing a 1, 3, 3, 5, 5, despite there only being three dice in the pool. My opponent only put a 3, 5, 5.

Ok, after watching it more thouroughly (including your opponent's replay) I can confirm that something wrong happened there. I am just trying to reproduce it locally but I can't. It was probably a temporary glitch of BGA that caused that.

I clicked Restart Turn right before I think they locked their turn it. I wonder if it's some sort of timing issue with the Restart Turn button.

I had played a 2 and 4, then decided I wanted to add the 6 as well. I pressed restart turn just as the round ended. I was prompted to place the same three dice again before getting my next roll. Other players could not see the extra placed numbers, but I could play above them on the next round. Reloading the page did not fix my game state.
