I don't understand how you can accidentally click. You have to click on the button to "confirm" your selected card, right?

When you select a card, there is a button that says "discard," but if you change your mind about what card you want to discard, it doesn't let you switch cards. So there is sort of a "confirm" button ("discard"), but you are forced to confirm by not being able to change your selection.

You can click the same card again to unselect the card. At least this is the case in 2025. I cannot speak for the state of the game in 2023 when this issue was originally raised.
