I encountered the same bug. (boardgamearena.com/3/hadrianswall?table=433489248)
I (Neptian) and "Neowlevrai" completed only 1 section of the wall, but got 3; while "greeninkpenguin" correctly got 2 points.
I suspect that the game counted the "Fort" sections instead of the "Wall" sections.

Yes, consistently it always counts my "fort" sections instead of my "wall" sections when scoring "defender."

Happened to me at table 494284742, a solo game. I had ticked all boxes of the wall except the last one (which awards a cohort advancement). The Defender card thought I had completed three wall sections and awarded me 3VP. This should have been 2VP.

Confirmation of the same bug, testing it after a query on BGG. I deliberately completed all 3 sections of the Fort, but only 1 of the Wall. The Defender path card incorrectly awarded me 3 VP.

This happened to my opponent as well. However, maybe it was counting the Cippi instead of the Fort. I don't know.
