Winter is ending… somewhere… probably… It definitely is in Frosted Blooms, a 2026 Kennerspiel des Jahres recommended game.
The crisp Dutch air carries the lingering chill of winter, occasionally gracing the awakening fields with a delicate morning frost. Yet, beneath this fleeting shimmer, the first determined tulips push skyward, their bold colors promising a vibrant spring to come.
You are a gardener, and an ambitious one at that. You compete to cultivate the most amazing display of tulips. In this tile placement and building improvements game, you select patches of land and strategically place iconic windmills and barns, while assigning diligent workers to create a harmonious and valuable landscape.
Over 10 rounds, each turn you must take a tile, expand your garden, and play a card. Once you’re done with these, you can place improvements such as workers, barns and windmills, all of which, along with any objectives you accomplish throughout a game, will grant you extra points at the end.
The solo mode in Frosted Blooms gives you the opportunity to challenge the Master Gardener who knows the best secrets for growing the perfect garden and plays by his own special rules. You might learn a thing or two and become a Master Gardener yourself.
